Basing its company philosophy on continuous improvement, Bia has become the leading Italian company in the production of couscous today.

Bia Cous Cous, in their wide range, are ideal for adults, children, seniors, intolerant to gluten and lovers of organic products. They are also perfect for all those who has little time available but wishes to follow a healthy and tasty diet. These are some of the characteristics that led BIA to be recognized as European leader in the production of couscous and global leader in the organic couscous production.

Couscous is an excellent choice for daily diet because it provides a good source of energy and at the same time it allows to feel light and fit thanks to its high digestibility which makes it suitable for all ages. Due to its easy preparation, it is possible to re-hydrate it both with cold water for the preparation of salads and taboulé, and with hot water for the most traditional recipes. Moreover, its versatility allows infinite combinations from classic recipes with meat, fish, vegetables and legumes and gluten-free cereals, to sweet recipes with raisins, dried fruits, honey.

Cutting-edge technology, entirely automated systems and meticulous selection of raw materials allow the company to consistently offer a high-quality and safe product. Partnerships

Department of industrial engineering, course in Monitoring and simulation of physical and environmental stresses during logistical processes in food products. Two students have placed humidity and temperature sensors inside the container on the lorry which transports the couscous. When the lorry come back to the leaving port, the students have extract and analyse the data.

Cous Cous Fest San Vito Lo Capo
The Cous Cous Fest, the most important couscous event worldwide, takes place every September since 1997. The event has chosen to join forces with Bia and entrust the quality of its tastings to the firm couscous. Bia supplies all the couscous semolina for the event: more than 7 tons be used during the international contest, food talks and public tasting events. As part of the literacy and education strategies within the Cous Cous Fest, Bia also runs children’s workshops to teach them about couscous, and cooking shows led by famous chefs who present imaginative yet simple recipes.

Traditional couscous and couscous produced with whole wheat or semi-whole wheat semolina, spelt, kamut, barley, 4 cereals, corn and rice. There is a choice for every taste!

The range of couscous products made by Bia is really wide and offers a choice for everybody. Our couscous (100% Italian) is the result of passion, experience and a careful selection of raw materials. Conventional and organic certified, quick and easy, the Bia couscous is ideal for hot and cold dishes and for a healthy and balanced diet.

Couscous is a healthy, nutritious and easily digestible food. Its virtues include being a cheap and eco-friendly dish. To prepare couscous it is not necessary to use electricity or gas. Precooked couscous can be prepared using a small amount of water at room temperature, without any kind of energy consumption. What’s more, unlike pasta, the water used for cooking is not thrown away, which is another saving.
